Texas Instruments’ Jack Kilby Science & Technology Quiz

KQA has partnered with the Texas Instruments Foundation since 2003  in conducting the Jack Kilby Science & Technology quiz for students of Std. VIII,IX and X. The fifth edition of the quiz will be held in Bangalore, Chennai and New Delhi. Ochintya Sharma will ask the questions.

The dates:

Chennai: 26 October 2007

New Delhi:  first week of November (exact date will be announced shortly)

Bangalore: 11 November 2007

The Chennai and Delhi winners will battle it out with the Bangalore winners on 11 November 2007.

Anshuman Pal of Kolkata made 34 — the best performance so far by a school student. Sriharsha Bhat, a high-school entrant from Bangalore, made 30.

The best turn-outs, centrewise, were recorded in Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar and Mumbai. 78 entrants took the quiz in Bangalore, while Bhubaneshwar and Mumbai recorded 58 and 57 participants respectively.
