Oikoumene – A Quiz on Wildlife and the Environment
Landmark Bookstore presents OIKOUMENE, a quiz on Wildlife and the Environment on Wednesday 8 February 2012 to commemorate the life and work of the naturalist and botanist Fr. Cecil Saldanha SJ. Organised by the Quiz Club, St. Joseph’s College, Bangalore. The venue is Xavier Hall, PG Block, St. Joseph’s College, Langford Road, Bangalore 560027.
RULES
- Oikoumene will have a quiz in the High School (stds. VIII, IX and X), College (PUC, Stds XI, XII and undergraduate), and Open categories
- A school can field up to a maximum of SIX teams.
- Each team, whether school or college, must comprise TWO members from the same institution.
- In the open category, teams can be formed regardless of institutional affiliation. Each team must comprise two members.
- There is an entry fee of Rs. 100/- per institution or Open team.
- School teams must carry a copy of the entry form signed and sealed by the Head of the Insititution.
- College teams must carry valid ID cards.
- No restriction on the number of college teams, but only two teams from the same college will qualify for the finals.
- A written preliminary will be held to select 8 teams for the oral/audio-visual finals
- Prizes will be awarded to the winners and the runners-up while Certificates will be awarded to all 8 teams that qualify for the finals
