ASKQANCE 2014 for Schools & Colleges on Saturday 26 July 2014

As part of our 31st Anniversary celebrations titled ASKQANCE 2014, the Karnataka Quiz Association will host a series of general quiz contests for students of various classes. All the quizzes will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at the Institution of Agricultural Technologists, Queen’s Road, Bangalore. The various events are as below:

Inter-Middle School Quiz for students in classes 5, 6 and 7 in teams of 2 – a maximum of 6 teams per school
QMs: Santosh Swaminathan and Venkatesh Srinivasan

Inter-High School Quiz for students in classes 8, 9 and 10 in teams of 2 – a maximum of 6 teams per school
QMs: Hrishikesh Varma and Praveen VR

Junior College Quiz for students in classes 11 and 12 (or Junior College / PU) in teams of 3

Inter-College Quiz for students in UG and PG courses in teams of 3

The Junior College and College quizzes will have a common preliminary round and separate finals. QMs – Varun Shenoy and Sai Ganesh

We invite participation in these events – all team members have to be from the same school/college.

Please note that registration is only through the online form available at the links below. No hard copy/paper registration or printout is required. Students can wear school uniform and/or carry a school badge for identification.

ASKQANCE 2014 – Inter-college Quiz

As part of the annual quiz festival ASKQANCE the KQA is organizing an Inter College quiz contest open to under-graduate and post-graduate students on Saturday, 26th July 2014 at the Institution of Agricultural Technologists, Queen’s Road.

The Rules

  1. Teams of THREE members each from the same institution across UG and PG courses.
  2. No entry fee.
  3. Registration at venue: team members must carry valid ID cards from their institution with them.
  4. Please RSVP using the form provided at the bottom of this page.
  5. The quiz will cover topics of general interest and requires no specific preparatory effort.
  6. A written preliminary will be held to select 8 teams for the oral/audio-visual finals
  7. Certificates will be awarded to all 8 teams that qualify for the finals.

1415-1515hrs: Prelims (common with Junior college)
1700-1830hrs: On-Stage Finals

As part of the annual quiz festival ASKQANCE the KQA is organizing an Inter Collegiate quiz contest open to Junior college/PU students on Saturday, 26th July 2014 at the Institution of Agricultural Technologists, Queen’s Road.

The Rules

  1. Each team can comprise of a maximum of THREE members from the same institution.
  2. No entry fee.
  3. Registration at venue, but please RSVP using the form at the bottom of this page.
  4. The quiz will cover topics of general interest and requires no specific preparatory effort.
  5. A written preliminary will be held to select 8 teams for the oral/audio-visual finals
  6. Certificates will be awarded to all 8 teams that qualify for the finals

1530-1645hrs: On-Stage Finals

The Rules

  1. Participating schools may field SIX teams each.
  2. Each team can comprise of a maximum of TWO members from the same school.
  3. No entry fee.
  4. Participants must RSVP using the form at the bottom of this page.
  5. Teams must bring pens/pencils; paper will be provided.
  6. The quiz will cover topics of general interest and requires no specific preparatory effort.
  7. All participating teams must reach the venue in time for registrations by 11:15am on July 26th, 2014
  8. A written preliminary will be held to select 8 teams for the oral/audio-visual finals
  9. Prizes & Certificates will be awarded to all 8 teams that qualify for the finals

The KQA will host a general quiz contest for students of Middle school (Std. V, VI & VII) on Saturday 26th July 2014 as part of ASKQANCE 2014 — our 31st Anniversary Celebrations at the Institution of Agricultural Technologists, Queen’s Road.

Wing Commander G.R. Mulky Memorial Open Quiz on Sunday 6 July

The 9th edition of the Wing Commander G.R. Mulky Memorial Quiz will be held on Sunday 6 July 2014 at the Canara Union premises on 8th Main, off 15th Cross, Malleswaram.

The quiz is open to all
Four members per team
Entry Fee: Rs. 100/- (Free for school teams)
