MahaQuizzer & AsiaSweep 2023

The Karnataka Quiz Association will be conducting MahaQuizzer, the National Solo Quizzing Championship, and AsiaSweep, the Arun Veembur Memorial Quiz on all things Asian, on 10 December 2023 (Sunday).

MahaQuizzer will consist of 150 questions to be attempted over 90 minutes, off a printed paper. Mahaquizzer will be set by a team comprised of Debashree Mitra, Sachin Deshpande, Sreyashi Dastidar, Sujata Sharma, and Venkataraman R.

MahaQuizzer is open to individual entrants, irrespective of age or other affiliations. The person recording the highest score across all centres will hold the title of Mahaquizzer for 2023. She/he will also be awarded the Wing Commander G.R. Mulky Trophy for Quizzing Excellence. This trophy will be presented during ASKQANCE, the KQA Anniversary Open Quiz Festival scheduled for June 2024.

AsiaSweep will consist of around 75 questions, to be read off a ppt. A projector will be required to hold the quiz. The quiz is being set by Dibyendu Das, Urmila Lakshmanan, Dr Arul Mani, and Nagaratna Patil.

AsiaSweep is open to teams of two members, irrespective of age or other affiliations. Solo participants are also welcome to try their luck.

We look forward to your cooperation in conducting another successful edition of these quizzes. We will require a proctor at each centre to conduct the quizzes. Please nominate one/two person(s) for this responsibility. We will send the question paper to the proctor(s) a few days before the quiz. The proctor will need to take copies of the question paper as per the number of participants in each centre. Kindly announce news of the quiz in your respective quiz groups as soon as possible.

Mahaquizzer will be held in all cities from 10:30 am to 12 noon. Reporting time for participants will be 10:00 AM. AsiaSweep will start at 3 pm.

Prior registration is essential. Go here to register for Mahaquizzer, and here for AsiaSweep. If you would like to host either event in your city, please email kqaquizzes@gmail.com.
