We will hold the first Lone Wolf contest of the 2011 season on Sunday, 28 August 2011, at Canara Union, 8th Main, Malleswaram.
This is a solo quizzing contest is open to all.
Entry Fee: Rs. 50/-
Written Prelims followed by Finals for 8 qualifiers

We will host four quizzes on Saturday, 27 August 2011, at the Institute of Agricultural Technologists, off Queen’s Road, Bangalore.
EVENTS I & II
We will hold a Lone Kid (Std V-VII solo) and a Lone Cub (Std VIII-X solo) during the morning session. Each school may field a maximum of three participants per category.
Prelims: 1000hrs
Finals: 1100hrs-1200hrs and 1200hrs-1300hrs
QMs: Landmark Venky, Vivek Kartikeyan, Santosh Swaminathan and Thejaswi Udupa
The Afternoon session will begin at 2pm. We have two Open Quizzes lined up.

DO NOT pull cousin-stunts and do not give us exciting stories about new-found couple-hood.

We have two quizzing sessions coming up after this–27th August (School and College solo quizzes and an Open Quiz) and 11 September (three Open quizzes , including Persiflage, our annual literary quiz).
The Canara Union Lone Wolf will happen sometime in August. Navin Rajaram will conduct.
Mega-Whats 2011 will be held, as usual, on the Second Sunday in December (11/12/2011). Please note the date.
Another event, coyly code-named BladderBurst by the setters, will be held either in the last week of October, or the first week of November. More details soon.

Mr. G. S. Hiranyappa, a stalwart quizzer of the Karnataka Quiz Association was honoured and presented with a shawl by Mr. Ochintya Sharma, the KQA president. Mr. Hiranyappa who also celebrates his birthday today, graciously accepted the honour and self-deprecatingly claimed that all one needed to gain respectability was to grow older and sport gray hair.
