When we floated the idea of the quiz, somebody said “What can be more pissing off than current affairs from thirty years ago?” Ochintya Sharma and Arul Mani will respond to that challenge with one hundred questions over three hours.

Unseeded Open Quiz I
The quiz once memorably described by a certain stalwart as ‘seedless, weedless and completely needless’ will now be held thrice a year–this one, another in November, and the MetaQuizziks 20th Anniversary Unseeded Open in March.
Members of the following teams cannot take part: QED, MQ, WALTWO, Mustafa, Expats, Swami & Friends, No Questions Asked, and Pranesh Plus Three. In addition, the teams that achieved top three positions in the Film Quiz at ASKQANCE 2009 are also excluded.
This quiz is open only to quizzers who are ordinarily resident in Karnataka. Teams with doubtful antecedents may be subjected to a rapid-fire GK round based on Banaswadi and its environs.
