asKQAnce 2018, the annual KQA jamboree, the original Woodstock of quizzing, is scheduled for June 29th, June 30th, and July 1st.

Open Quizzes on Sunday, 4th February 2018
The KQA will be conducting two general open quizzes on Sunday, 4th February 2018 at Ujjivan in Koramangala.
At 12 PM is a general quiz conducted by ‘CIDs from Kerala’, a team that needs no introduction… well, at least Major Chandrakant Nair doesn’t.
Teams of 4 or fewer. Open to all.
At 4 pm is a general quiz conducted by two of the most exciting young quizzers in the country today – Sreshth Shah and Preetham Upadhya.
Open to all – the quiz is a ruckus, ie teams will be formed on the spot. Just bring yourself and tell your friends.

The 28th Ganesh Nayak Memorial Open Quiz on Sunday 12 November 2017
The Ganesh Nayak Memorial Open Quiz is an annual open quizzing event for teams of four or fewer, held in memory of Ganesh Nayak, a pioneering quizzer from the city.
The 28th edition will happen on Sunday, November 12th at 2 pm at IAT on Queens Road. The quiz will be researched and conducted by a team comprising Varun Rajiv, Ashwin Kumar, Mitesh Agarwal, and Santosh Swaminathan.
There will be prizes for all finalists.

The quiz will cover topics of general interest and requires no specific preparatory effort.
All participants must reach the venue in time for registrations by 9:00 AM
A written preliminary will be held to select 8 finalists.
Prizes & Certificates will be awarded to all 8 qualifiers—plus a prize for the best performance by a girl entrant from Std. V, VI and VII.
The winner will be declared Bangalore’s Sub-Junior Quizzing Champion for 2017.

We will hold three quizzes on 5th November at Ujjivan’s offices in Grape Garden, Koramangala.

The quiz will be researched and hosted by Lakshana Kripash and Hrishikesh Varma. It is a written quiz for teams of two.
2. Left/Right/Left, the Revolutionary Quiz at 11:45 am
The quiz will be researched and hosted by Rajagopal PS (Right), Praveen VR (Left), Hrishikesh Varma (Right), and Avinash Thirumalai (Left). It is a written quiz for teams of two.
3. The KQA Family Quiz at 2:30 pm
The quiz will be researched and hosted by Hari Nair and Debanjan Bose. Teams of four or fewer are to be formed featuring members of the same family (husbands, wives, common law partners, brothers, sisters, fathers, sons, mothers, daughters — please do not discover cousins for the sake of the quiz)

Canara Union’s Wing Commander G.R. Mulky Memorial Open Quiz
The 2017 edition of the Wing Commander G.R. Mulky Memorial Quiz will be held on Sunday the 18th of June, at the Canara Union, Malleswaram.
The quiz will start at 10:30 am sharp. Teams are requested to take their places by 10:15 am since we have to finish on time for other events at the venue.
The quiz is open to teams of four members, irrespective of age or institutional affiliation. Teams will be charged a registration fee of Rs. 100/-, with free entry for teams comprising school students.
The quiz will be conducted by Sujata Sharma and Urmila Lakshmanan.
Prizes for all finalists.
Canara Union is located on 8th Main Malleswaram (now called the Canara Union Road), and can be approached from 15th Cross. Landmark: Panchavati (Sir CV Raman’s residence)

WQC 2017
International Quizzing Association will be organising the World Quizzing Championship on 3rd June, Saturday this year. This is an annual written solo quiz where participants answer questions divided over eight categories.
The Bangalore venue will be Bookworm, on Church Street. Please report to the venue at 2:45 pm and take your seats. The quiz will begin at 3 pm sharp.
There will be prizes for the top 10 scores, top score in each category, and to the best woman participant, as well as the best school and college participants.
The quiz will be proctored by Tarun Bhalla. There is a registration fees of 50/- per participant. School students are exempt from paying.
Please register by filling up the form below. This will help us plan the logistics around printing question papers correctly.
