Mahaquizzer, KQA’s annual solo championship, will be held on Sunday, 18 May 2008. This year’s quiz is set by Ochintya Sharma, Thejaswi Udupa, Avinash Thirumalai and Arun Hiregange.

The contest will be held simultaneously in nine cities: Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, Pune and Thiruvananthapuram.

Four prizes will be given out in each city: Best Quizzer, Best Lady Quizzer, Best College Quizzer and Best School Quizzer.

The person recording the highest score across all centres will hold the title of Mahaquizzer for 2008. She/he will also be awarded the Wing Commander G.R. Mulky Trophy for Quizzing Excellence.

Mahaquizzer is a unique contest, requiring the participant to answer 150 questions, drawn from as wide a spread as possible, in 90 minutes. It is open to all and entry is free. Those interested in participating must mail or, mentioning which city you would like to appear from in the subject line.

Please do try and register by Wednesday 14 May 2008. City coordinators will allow on-the-spot entries if seating is available, but in the event of a space-crunch, first preference will be given to those who had registered before the deadline.

We would like to accommodate every interested quizzer, but this will depend on the seating available in each venue. City Coordinators will use this criterion to decide about accommodating late/on-the-spot entries.
